Silver Maple Icelandic Horse Farm is a beautiful 200 acre horse farm located in Tunbridge, Vermont, not far from Woodstock.
Owner Susan Peters first got to know Icelandic horses in 2001 when she and her family traveled to Iceland to discover the land of her husband's ancestors. Since then, their passion for the Icelandic horse has grown by leaps and bounds. In 2007 they purchased Silver Maple Farm and created their own Icelandic horse paradise, equipped with a
28 stall barn, indoor riding arena and a world-class track.
In 2009 Silver Maple hosted the first World Ranking Icelandic Horse competition in North America.
In 2009, trainer Jana Meyer joined forces with them and offers training and lessons.
Silver Maple is home to some 40 Icelandic horses, including the highest judged five-gaited stallion in North America, Hjörtur frá Holtsmúla 1.
